Does your child have chicken pox? Find out what to do.

When a child is affected by chicken pox, rashes start appearing all over the face and body. It may sometimes be accompanied by fever. Ask kid to wash hands before eating and after a visit to the toilet. Since it is contagious keep the child away from other children and don’t send your child to school. A vaccinated child is less likely to get it. Give towel baths in cool water to give respite from fever, but pat dry. Do not rub. Apply Calamine lotion a few times every day. Brush itchy parts with neem leaves for temporary relief. If fever persists, visit the doctor.
