Zen Stories to Tell Your Neighbors 7

This Zen story, Which is the Way?, about experiencing the present, is part of an eBook series 51 Short Motivational Stories from Zen, Buddha and Ancient Tales.

Which is the Way?

A young disciple asked the Zen master, “Which is the Way?”

“Oh! Look at the mountain, it’s so beautiful. Can you see it”

“I did not ask about the mountain master. I asked about the Way,” said the disciple.

“As long you cannot see beyond the mountain, you’ll never reach the way,” replied the Zen master.

Notes: Experiencing the present is everything in Zen. Needless searching for truth leads one no where. Be in the present and enjoy the truth.
