Thoughts from Bhagavad Gita

No knowledge is to be found without seeking, no tranquility without travail, no happiness
except through tribulation. Every seeker has, at one time or another, to pass through a
conflict of duties, a heart-churning.

Knowledge is hidden by selfish desire - hidden by this unquenchable fire for
self-satisfaction.

I (God) am easily attained by the person who always remembers me and is attached to nothing
else.

Content with getting what arrives of itself. Passed beyond the pairs, free from envy, not
attached to success or failure. Even acting, he is not bound. He is recognized as eternally
free, who neither loathes nor craves; For he that is freed from the pairs, is easily freed
from conflict.

To action alone hast thou a right and never at all to its fruits; let not the fruits of
action be thy motive; neither let there be in thee any attachment to inaction.

Delusion arises from anger. The mind is bewildered by delusion. Reasoning is destroyed when
the mind is bewildered. One falls down when reasoning is destroyed.

Fixed in yoga, do thy work, O Winner of wealth (Arjuna), abandoning attachment, with an even
mind in success and failure, for evenness of mind is called yoga.

With the body, with the mind, with the intellect, even merely with the senses, the Yogis
perform action toward self-purification, having abandoned attachment. He who is disciplined
in Yoga, having abandoned the fruit of action, attains steady peace.

The Bright one may be taken to mean the path of knowledge and the dark one that of
ignorance.

He who has achieved even-mindedness by dint of devotion, knowledge and service not only
obtains the fruit of all his good actions, but also wins salvation.

One gradually attains tranquillity of mind by keeping the mind fully absorbed in the Self by
means of a well-trained intellect, and thinking of nothing else.

  2. i notice that the bhagwat gita uses too many words, but conveys nothing. I could be rightly described as rubbish.
